Queen's one and only concert in Nishinomiya, a city just outside the borders of Osaka (which is the reason why Freddie and Brian refer to the audience as people of Osaka) is quite special for the band as it's their first of only a handful stadium shows in Japan, playing in front of about 35,000 spectators (a similar number to the crowd a few days later in Tokorozawa). Usually occupied by baseball matches, it was a slightly unfortunate choice to play outdoor shows in Japan in late October / early November as it's very cold in these months in Japan, something that naturally didn't go well with Freddie's voice on tour. Nonetheless, he probably gives his strongest and most consistent performance of the Japan tour tonight, sounding powerful yet still offering soft vocals here and there with only a small number of weak bits in between. On top of that, you get a 100% charged and energetic band performing their hearts out with many fiery and creative jams and solos, not just during songs but also in between numbers, proving how much fun the band are having despite all the circumstances around this show and tour in general. To celebrate their biggest show in Japan, the band have rattled up the set with some surprises like 'The Hero', the final full performance of 'Somebody to Love', a fantastic improv section before 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and, probably the biggest wildcard moment, a transition amidst the funky 'Another One Bites the Dust' into a unique and very bluesy rendition of 'Jailhouse Rock', the last one on the tour. As you can see from the lits of snippets down below, the band (and especially Freddie) are in superb mood and add tons of references and snippets to classics as well as Queen songs, making this one of the most interesting and unique Queen shows ever. 00:00:00 - Cheering 00:00:54 - 01.
