While the overall show might just be the shortest one on the leg (only possibly beaten by the full first night in Fukuoka), it's most certainly the most energetic one! The band are absolutely powering through the set, playing songs at double the tempo and going all out on most notes. Freddie sounds unstable but still goes for a great deal of high notes, even attempting the studio phrasing during the first verse of "Bohemian Rhapsody" for the first time since 1978! Before the song, he plays the intro of "Death on Two Legs" for the first time since the European shows. Freddie generally seems to be in a great mood as he also adds a reference to "Bicycle Race" during "Fat Bottomed Girls", the last time the rocker would be referenced on stage. During an excellent version of "Get Down, Make Love", Freddie does his own little version of "Sakura Sakura"' as part of the vocal improvisation. This is the only "Hot Space" show to not feature "Save Me" on the setlist as it has been replaced by "Teo Torriatte" tonight, the first of only two full performances of the song and Freddie sounds great on it tonight. This show also features the last performance of "Rock It" as they would revert to "The Hero" for the last night of the tour. If it didn't become clear enough, this is one of my favourite shows and I highly recommend everyone checking it out! 00:00:00 - Cheering 00:00:13 - 01. Flash's Theme (tape) 00:02:17 - 02.
