British Rallycross | Can the Nikon D3200 Still Capture the Action?

British Rallycross at Lydden Hill with the Nikon D3200 & Sony HX50 I’m back at Lydden Hill for the British Rallycross Championship, capturing the dust, the speed, and the atmosphere of the birthplace of the sport. My trusted Nikon D3200 is with me as always—a camera I’ve used as my main DSLR since 2020. After six years behind this particular viewfinder, I’m at a point where the buttons and menus are second nature, which is exactly what you need when things are moving this fast. The video is split into two distinct parts: Part One: Trackside Action I’m out on the banks focusing on the high-speed drama, using my usual setup of Shutter Priority and Auto ISO to frame the cars as they hit the clinch and catch air over the jumps. Part Two: Paddock Street Photography I head into the paddocks to capture the "behind-the-scenes" energy. For this, I’m switching to my Sony Cybershot DSC HX50, using it for a street-photography-style look at the mechanics, the drivers, and the incredible machinery up close. Inside this video: Trackside with the D3200: Managing high-speed action using Shutter Priority and Auto ISO. Paddock Life: Using the Sony HX50 for street-style photography in a motorsport environment. Lydden Hill Perspectives: Finding the angles that best showcase the power and the community of British Rallycross. #photography #tudorsmithphotography -- Donations: If you enjoy my content on YouTube and would like to support my work, please do consider buying me a 'coffee' through the link below.
