Budget Photography Challenge | Capturing Spring with a Nikon D3200 I’m out in the garden and the local lanes of Whitten today to capture the fleeting beauty of spring. Instead of reaching for a prime lens or expensive glass, I’m sticking with my trusted Nikon D3200 and the original 18-55mm kit lens. I’ve owned this camera since 2020, and I wanted to see if its f/5.6 aperture could still deliver that lovely blurred bokeh and those "cracking" backlight shots we all look for. In this video, I’m channeling my inner David Bellamy, taking a close-up look at the world around me. From the cherry blossoms and magnolias in my "crib" to the local rapeseed fields and the quiet corners of the churchyard, it’s a purposeful walkabout to see what’s possible with 13-year-old gear.
