We Built a Family of 8 Compound From the Ground Up On Raw Undeveloped Land | How We Did It | E.p. 57
What began as a piece of raw, undeveloped land deep in the woods has become the family homestead compound we’ve spent years building from the ground up. When we purchased this property, there were no buildings, no utilities, no infrastructure—just trees, hard work, and a dream of creating a more self-sufficient life for our family of eight. In this video, we’re sharing the incredible transformation of our property and looking back at the many projects that have helped shape our homestead into what it is today. Every structure, every garden bed, every animal shelter, every pathway, and every improvement has been built with one goal in mind: creating a place where our family can live more intentionally, work together, and become increasingly self-reliant. From clearing the land and building our first structures to creating productive gardens, raising chickens, ducks, and rabbits, constructing compost systems, lumber storage, lean-to pavilions, outdoor workspaces, and countless DIY projects, we’ve learned that building a homestead isn’t about finishing—it’s about continually growing, improving, and adapting. Our journey hasn’t always been easy. Developing raw land takes patience, perseverance, planning, and a willingness to learn new skills. There have been setbacks, unexpected challenges, changing priorities, and long days of hard work, but every project has brought us one step closer to the vision we had when we first walked onto this property. Thank you for joining us on our adventure in self-sufficiency, nature, and intentional living. Follow along as our large family builds, grows, and learns together while carving out an adventurous homestead and off-grid life in two different states. This is our journey of turning two raw undeveloped lands into a working homestead and developing an off-grid remote property, raising animals, and learning new skills along the way. 📌 Don’t forget to Subscribe, Like, and Comment as you join us on our homesteading and off-grid journey! 🔔 Hit the notification bell so you never miss an episode! #homestead #homesteading #homesteadlife #familyhomestead #familycompound #rawland #rawlanddevelopment #landdevelopment #buildingfromscratch #offgrid #offgridliving #selfsufficiency #selfsufficient #countryliving #rurallife #backyardfarming #familyfarm #smallfarm #farmlife #gardening #vegetablegarden #raisedbeds #compost #composting #chickens #backyardchickens #ducks #rabbits #homesteadanimals #diy #diybuild #woodworking #construction #outdoorprojects #survival #preparedness #sustainableliving #simpleliving #homeschool #largefamily #familyof8 #floridahomestead #dreamhomestead #homesteadjourney #homesteadprojects #modernhomesteading #growyourownfood #foodsecurity #countrylife #livingofftheland #prepper #prepping #preppers
