Memory Text “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Heb. 11:1, King James Version) Someone once said, “Faith is like Wi-Fi. It is invisible, but it can connect you to what you need.” Without faith, there would be no relationship with God. How is your faith today? Has it wavered? Perhaps you have experienced events that have challenged you so much that you do not know how to move forward in your relationship with God. Or is your faith like a rose? First, a tiny bud appears on a green stalk, which grows day by day, increases in size, and then opens into a delicate fragrant flower? Indeed, “faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen” (Heb. 11:1). We cannot produce it ourselves, but God gives each of us a measure of faith (see Rom. 12:3). Faith is a gift from God (see Eph. 2:8, 9), and it can exist only because of what the Lord does in us and for us. This week we will explore the topic of faith: what to do with doubt and unbelief; what, according to Jesus, strong faith is; how to understand the phrase “the faith of Jesus.”
