Seven Dresses, One Wedding | Dress No.5: Alexander McQueen Ceremony Dinner Dress

Created by Sarah Burton during her time as Creative Director of Alexander McQueen, this was the dress I wore for our wedding ceremony in Capri. Inspired by the sea, movement, and historical silhouettes, the dress combined a sculptural corset with hundreds of metres of organza, creating a silhouette that felt both powerful and alive. The look was completed by a sculptural hairstyle conceived by Luigi Murenu and brought to life together with Olivier Schawalder. Built with fresh white flowers sourced from around the world, it was never intended as simply hair styling, but as an integral part of the overall creative vision. Looking back, what I remember most is the extraordinary collaboration behind every detail. Dress, hair, flowers, and craftsmanship all came together to create one complete vision.
