O Que São Soluções Baseadas na Natureza

This video, produced by Dr. Alexandre F. Souza, Professor of the Department of Ecology at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, explains what nature-based solutions are. In this video, Professor Alexandre explores how understanding the functioning of ecosystems can be used as a technology to solve various problems in both urban and rural areas. The content demonstrates that designing with biodiversity is essential to ensure efficient ecosystem services, greater resistance to pests, and lower management costs. Examples are analyzed where nature-based solutions are vital for food and social security. This video is a production of the project “PJ002-2025 - Scientific Dissemination Videos on Ecology and Environment - 2025” of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN).
