It begins around mid-May and ends with the descent from the alpine pastures, like this one, around mid-September. For many, alpine season is the most beautiful time of the year—but it is also a tough time. This year, I am accompanying Lena, Lukas, and their dog Coco from the Grindel alpine farm in Gschwandtenmad in Switzerland to give you a glimpse into life on the alpine pastures.
