Perhaps, even knowing we come from different worlds, the feelings—the reluctance to let go, the inability to resist, the lingering attachment—are too strong. In the end, separation is inevitable, but the unavoidable thought in your heart is: "If you love me, please don't go." But the cruelest reality is: "I'm sorry, although I love you, I can't stay." It's so bitter... Alcohol can only temporarily numb the pain, friends can only offer temporary companionship. Even a new relationship can only be an escape, not a complete escape. Until time slowly washes away the intense heartache. It's not because I'm willing to let go, not because I've put it down, not because I've endured it. It's simply that I still have to move on.
