2 Days Multispecies Fishing the Des Plaines River
The DPR has FINALLY dropped to a fishable level once again! After nearly 2 months of the river raging from all the spring rain storms, the river is back at its normal level, so of course I had to bust out my waders and hit up some of my old stomping grounds. Multispecies was the name of the game with just a rod and spinning reel combo using a paddle tail jig for anything that would bite. As it turned out, the smallies and rock bass were really on the bite! Between rock bass, smallmouth, and 1 largemouth, I would say the multispecies challenge was successfully accomplished.
