Late Summer Multispecies Sessions on the Des Plaines River
As of the making of this video, the weeds are in high and the water is super clear making for a tougher bite. However, after multiple trips to the river I managed to get into a nice mixed bag of fish ranging from smallmouth bass to largemouth bass to green sunfish as well as a bonus channel catfish using both live bait (nightcrawlers) and lures. Got rained on a couple times but totally worth it! Ned rigs, twister tails, and paddle tail jigs were the most productive lures. Live bait on a Carolina rig around sunset was quite effective as well.
