Okayama Travel Vlog EP5 This episode takes us to Kurashiki and its Bikan Historical Quarter, where 400-year-old white-walled warehouse streets still stand — a quiet, lovely scene woven together by willows, the canal, and drifting boats. (Visited: May 2026) Sightseeing here moves at an easy, pleasant pace. Little shops line the stream, willows hang low over the water, and boats slip under the small stone bridges from time to time — simply watching them glide by is the best scenery this town has to offer. We take our time wandering in and out of the shops along the way: Kurashiki Denim Street packed with all things denim, Mamekichi Honpo, Koeido, and of course the mt masking tape flagship store — masking tape was born right here in Kurashiki. There are also two adorable themed shops, Snoopy Chocolat and Miffy Kitchen, with plenty of limited-edition goods to collect. In the afternoon we stroll back to the station and head to Ario and Mitsui Outlet Park on the other side, where dining and shopping are both easy and convenient.
