816th Running | 6/14/2026 | 11km Easy Run

✍️ Today’s Run Note Today did not go as planned. Because of an unexpected schedule change yesterday, I ended up spending the night away from home and could not go for my usual morning run. I did not get home until around lunchtime, and after sleeping only two hours the night before, I was completely exhausted. Normally, I would head out and run anyway. This time, though, I decided to take a short nap first. I am still recovering from my injury, and I did not think it was worth pushing through the fatigue just to stick to my usual routine. One thing I have noticed about trying to run every day is that if I miss my morning run, the simple fact that I have not run yet becomes a source of stress for the rest of the day. I start thinking, “What if something comes up this evening?” Because of that, I hesitate to make afternoon plans, and the question of when I am going to run stays in the back of my mind all day. In reality, it does not matter whether I run for ten minutes or an hour. As long as I run before the day ends, my streak is still alive. But emotionally, missing that morning window can feel like I am already falling behind. That is why I prefer to finish my run early whenever possible. Once it is done, I can enjoy the rest of the day without feeling like I still have unfinished homework waiting for me. At the same time, I think it is important not to let that anxiety control every part of life. If protecting a running streak starts getting in the way of family time or important commitments, it is probably healthier to remind myself that I can always run later in the day. Giving myself that little bit of flexibility may be one of the best ways to keep the streak going for the long run. Thank you for another day of running. Wishing you happiness and love in your life.
