The Great Western Turnpike Sharon Springs NY, Part 2 Maureen and Elizabeth This episode interviews two of the businesswomen in Sharon Springs. One woman who has had her business since the 1980s discusses her daughter’s work at the nearby Adler Hotel, one that housed many holocaust victims and in which Germany paid for their stay. Steven Spielberg visited the village and interviewed many of the hotel residents for his movie Schindler’s List. One of the cook’s at the hotel was one of Schindler’s rescues.
