MEDIALUNAS DE MANTECA | Receta facil y sencilla | Maxi Cocina

Hello! Today I'm sharing this recipe for the popular butter croissants! So you can make them at home for a snack or freeze them and eat them whenever you like! INGREDIENTS 0000 Flour, 500g Butter, 175g Eggs, 1 Milk, 125ml Sugar, 100g Salt, 1 tsp Vanilla essence, 1 tsp Dry yeast, 10g (fresh, 25g) Brushing: Egg, 1 beaten Syrup: Water, 10 tbsp Sugar, 8 tbsp STEP BY STEP: -Place the yeast, a teaspoon of sugar, and a teaspoon of flour in 1/2 cup of warm water. Stir well and let it foam, which means the yeast begins to ferment. -In a separate bowl, place the butter at room temperature, add sugar, a pinch of salt, and mix. -After that, add the milk and eggs and continue mixing. -Begin adding part of the flour, mix, and then add more flour until the mixture is creamy. At this point, add the water and yeast. -Mix well and finish adding the flour. -Transfer to a work surface and knead until a smooth, non-sticky dough forms. -Place in a bowl and let rest until it doubles in size. -After that time, degas (press to remove the air) and cut a rectangle 1/2 cm thick, then begin cutting triangles. From the widest part, we barely stretch it and begin to roll it. As we roll, we stretch the thinnest part to form a half-moon shape. We tuck the ends inward, not reaching the center, and place them on a greased and floured baking sheet, one on top of the other. Brush with egg and let them rest for about 10 minutes. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20-25 minutes. Meanwhile, we prepare the syrup with the water and sugar. When they come out, we brush them and they're ready!
