Low Back Love | Yin Yoga Sequence | Low back pain & Sciatica | Compress & Release

Welcome! Today's practice is for those of you who are experiencing low back pain/discomfort, inflammation or maybe experiencing a sciatic flare up. I know all to well the discomforts of low back pain, its not nice! In this class, we stress, and compress our spine. Yes! we stress and compress to invite healing and relief. When we compress our bones small currents are released into our tissues and activate/deactivate specific cells, its also just a great overall way to maintain your spine health to avoid degeneration over time. In this practice, be mindful of how quickly you exit a pose. Your body needs time to "rebound" and you also need to REST after STRESS. My hope is that this video provides you with some relief, and the tools you need to help yourself, which is very empowering! Remember you are your body's own guru, do what feels best and suitable for you. #yoga #lowbackpain #spinehealth #yinyoga Don't forget to LIKE, SUBSCRIBE & SHARE! Yin yoga is MAGIC. Well, that is how I would describe it. Yin yoga is a practice that that allows you to go beyond the superficial layers of the body and access the deeper layers. This means in a Yin Yoga practice you are going beyond the muscles and right into the deep connective tissues of the body. Our connective tissues are made up of fascia, ligaments and tendons which surround and form our joints. Therefore, when you practice Yin Yoga you are able to increase your range of motion, your flexibility and strengthen your joints. A win win! If you ask me. Yin yoga is more than stretching, we are “stressing” the connective tissues and we do this with longer holds and intuitive breathing. When practicing always remember 1. Meet the pose at YOUR edge (gradually) 2. Find stillness and focus on your breath 3. Resolve to be still Disclaimer Please consult your physician before starting any exercise program.
