Busted Windmere Fans | Windmere KS-16X and DF-121M Oscillating Fans

Testing two recently acquired Windmere oscillating fans, model KS-16X (16" stand fan) and DF-121M (12" desk fan). The KS-16X is in immaculate cosmetic condition aside from the ends of the stand's legs being missing, which is very common. I was quite excited to find this as I have a lot of nostalgia to this model. It doesn't appear to have ever been used, which might simply be because it's never worked. I tend to like Windmere fans, but I do hear a lot of people complain about quality issues. With the more of them I find, I am noticing that there definitely appears to be some QC issues. I'm hoping this is a simple failure such as a loose connection at the switch. The DF-121M also appears to have never been used, but perhaps was stored in a more harsher environment. It's got some yellowing to the plastic, a few rust spots on the guard, and a coating of basement or garage grime all over. It works but isn't usable, the bearings are in dire need of servicing and re-lubrication.
