XII Domenica Tempo Ordinario A - Essere liberi, senza paura

We are afraid of being truly free. Of being ourselves and of thinking, acting, and choosing according to the Gospel, especially when it seems the world's mentality is moving in a different direction. Jesus invites us not to be afraid, not to give in to compromise and ambivalence, not to reduce the Gospel and faith to an anesthetic that numbs the conscience. Even if it costs sacrifice and apparent defeat, God cares for us: even the hairs on our head are numbered. Let us trust in Him to be truly free, without fear or constraint.
