The Ranggajati train received a New Generation Stainless Steel upgrade for both executive and economy classes, although the economy class already carries a modified version of the New Generation branding. This upgrade to the Ranggajati train system took effect on January 11 and 12, 2026, just one day after the Gajayana train also received a similar upgrade. This upgrade makes the Ranggajati the first train under the Cirebon Operational Area 3 to use the New Generation Stainless Steel system. This also eases the longing of passengers traveling to and from Operational Area 9, especially Jember Station. Previously, passengers enjoyed the New Generation fleet via the Logawa train, which was forced to downgrade to the previous generation after the route was extended to Ketapang Station.
