Trying the Sancaka Utara service again, from Surabaya to Yogyakarta with @VGardaWardana in economy class. The Sancaka Utara is the only connection between the northern Operational Area 8 (Daop 8) and Solo-Yogyakarta. It can even be used to reach Cilacap. It offers both executive and economy class service options. For the Surabaya-Yogyakarta route, the fastest option is the southern route, which takes just 4 hours, while the northern route can take up to 6 hours, although the market share served by these two trains is certainly very different. On the Sancaka Utara, you'll get two overtaking opportunities, something I didn't see in my previous video review about a year ago. Furthermore, the Sancaka Utara is the only train that runs between Gambringan Station and Gunding Station, which has an extreme track and limited speed.
