Walking in Monachil, Granada October 2022 (Winter in Spain)

Monachil is a town in Spain in the province of Granada, the province of Andalucia. The municipality of Monachil is located on the northwest face of the Natural Park of Sierra Nevada spreading across the mountain slopes reaching a height of 3,000 m. This area has spots of exceptional beauty such as Los Cachoros (which can be seen partially in this video), the Pool of Las Yeguas, the Trevengue or the fountains Frí­a and Hervidero. The Natural Park of Sierra Nevada was given the Reserve of the Biosphere award due to the diversity and uniqueness of its plants and wildlife. The ski station of Pradollano of The Sierra Nevada Ski Resort can be found in the municipality of Monachil. Pradollano, a meeting point in the Sierra Nevada, offers all the necessary facilities for skiing and accommodation. Sierra Nevada ski resort is the southernmost ski station in Europe and with the greatest hours of sunshine per year. 38 slopes are available ranging in different degrees of difficulty. Monachil is a nice place to stay if you visit Granada and Alhambra complex it is just 8 km from Granada. There is a city bus going regularly from Granada to Monachil.
