ULTRA SPRINGTIDE 50K - ARUNDEL - SOUTH DOWNS 6th April 2025

If you're planning your first Ultra, there are a million videos on diet and kit - but in this video I give a real view of actually how it feels, and found out a few extra tips along the way that I hadn't seen anywhere else! I hope it helps! I am so proud to have tackled my first Ultra marathon. I trained hard for a few months around a full time job and two young kids, and any spare time was mostly spent researching (and getting confused!) about what nutrition and tactics I needed to run an Ultra. I felt ready but nothing prepares you for your first race experience! I learnt so much and will share my experience with you in this video. I managed to crawl in at 5hr 49min 20secs, in 33rd overall. The UK Ultra South Downs team put on an incredible show and the volunteers were unbelievable. I cannot recommend this event highly enough.
