We must say that the TOYOTA YARIS CROSS has achieved what it was looking for with this minor facelift, but it's true that it's only halfway to becoming an unbeatable B-SUV, and the sales figures, compared to those of the Hyundai Kona, the undisputed leader alongside the Seat Arona, are there. There must be a reason for that. Despite this, it's clear that Toyota has taken the time to improve this car. The increase in power is noticeable, but not much; what is noticeable is that it consumes the same or less fuel than the previous model, despite the increase in power. What doesn't change is its appearance, discreet, like that of almost all Toyotas, and its roominess and trunk, which are quite adequate for what's on the market. Despite this, when you start putting in the miles and see that it's difficult to go from 5 liters per 100 in almost any situation, you realize if it's worth paying almost 30,000 euros for a car that, if you don't pay attention, you see it everywhere, since it's not selling badly at all. The gap between the Yaris Cross and the Rav 4 is significant, despite the arrival of the Corolla Cross, which barely has market acceptance due to its high price, similar to that of the Rav 4. That's why, at both extremes, the Rav 4 and Yaris Cross perform so well in the market. The battle is tough in this segment; more than 30% of sales in Spain are accounted for by B-class SUVs, and Toyota is ready for war with the new Yaris Cross. As we said, the roominess isn't the best in the world, but it holds its own against the competition despite its disadvantage in this area.
