Hoover Caddy Vac U5112-900 Upright Vacuum

This is my Hoover Caddy Vac upright vacuum (from 1999) model U5112-900, that I bought off eBay after always wanting an original Caddy Vac. This is to my knowledge the first and original version of the Caddy Vac before getting several revisions. What makes it called the Caddy Vac, is the tool rack that mounts on the side and can be removed to make the vacuum more compact and maneuverable, but for the most part, this is still an Elite style Hoover cleaner. This did come an original dusting brush, it did come with a crevice tool, but it wasn't original since it was too short. I did source out a long crevice tool and extension wand that it goes inside of, and also sourcing a upholstery tool, and now this has a full set of attachments. One thing I like about these Caddy Vac uprights (and the Breathe Easy Widepath's were like this too), they come with a post motor filter, which I think is a great feature for a direct air vacuum to increase the filtration (although not by much), and is a feature not too commonly seen on vacuums like this. It features a 7.2 amp motor with direct air design and takes Hoover Type Z bags (this example is running a HEPA type Y bag that are available but a big pricey but worth it in the filtration and increased performance). The suction is not the best (especially in tool mode), and the airflow is fantastic, and the agitation is great (even since I put a NOS brush roll in it). My only complaints about this machine is that it's quite loud when in use, can sometimes be very vulnerable when using since it's entirely made out of plastic, and one major gripe I have on these Caddy Vac's are the previous owners that always seem to lose the removable tool rack when they have it removed, and they later sell it to someone else when it has no attachments. Overall, I love this vacuum and is certainly better than anything Hoover makes today.
