Electrolux Epic 3500 SR Upright Vacuum

This is my Electrolux Epic 3500 SR upright vacuum (from the mid 90s) that I bought off eBay. I've always wanted an Aerus/Electrolux vacuum to add to the collection, especially one of the upright models since they are such unique vacuums to me, but I mostly wanted this model since it was the same one my aunt had some time ago (which I'm sure if she still has it today). The style of this vacuum was the first of its kind when it debuted back in the 1980s (as the Electrolux Discovery series) as being the first upright vacuum with a dual motor design to have brush roll on/off capability for cleaning bare floors. This does come with a separate attachment kit which I did buy separately from this vacuum, and when I bought it, the only thing it came with was the hose, the crevice tool, and 2 extension wands. This even comes with a unique tool called the Sidekick, which I bought separately from the attachment kit, but it's a small motorized brush roll tool that it designed for cleaning up pet hair on upholstery and carpeted stairs, and in all honesty, this is way better than some of the suction turbo tools that are sold on today's vacuums. It features a 8 amp suction motor with clean air design along with a 2 amp brush roll motor giving it a total of 10 amps, and takes Style U bags. The suction is honestly, not the best on this, the airflow is OK, and the agitation is all right, but it sure grooms the carpet pretty well. My only complaint for this vacuum is how low the suction is for a clean air based vacuum (which honestly I do have to give it a break, since this vacuum was made before vacuum technology evolved). Overall, this is a pretty cool vacuum to own, and I'm certainly happy to have this in my collection.
