The sudden, profound shock hit my daughter when she began attending the school nurse's office. When she exploded in anger in the car, the words I uttered were, once again, logical arguments. She wasn't looking for a "correct explanation," nor was she seeking "persuasion." All she wanted was for me to share the unpleasant feelings she had.
