The Artful Dodger Project | Man's Best Friend

‘Man’s Best Friend’ is an ode to some of my favourite animated films from the 80’s, which just so happen to share the theme of companionship to cats and dogs, which became the theme for this 80s inspired plunderphonics track. This track was originally meant to be part of my album ‘Help Us Find The Groove’, but due to complications with Logic, I had to scrap it. Thanks to some backups of the stems, I was able to construct the track back together. The mix is slightly uneven near the end, but I tried to make it sound as good as possible. Composed with samples from ‘Oliver and Company’ (1988), ‘The Fox And The Hound’ (1981) and ‘All Dogs Go To Heaven’ (1989), plus overdubs on a vintage Yamaha DX21 Synthesiser.
