1966 VW Beetle Metal Work | From Rot to Road

This 1966 VW Beetle rolled into my driveway in rough shape — severe rust, weak structure, and metal that had seen better decades. In this episode, we dive headfirst into serious metal work to give this classic air-cooled Beetle a second chance. We replaced the heater channels, installed new floor pans, added a new firewall, and began prepping the body for fresh metal. This was all done the hard way — in the driveway — with lots of cutting, grinding, welding, and learning along the way. I’m not a professional body guy — just figuring it out as I go and sharing the process honestly. If you’re into classic VW restorations, rusty rescues, or watching old metal come back to life outside of a fancy shop, you’re in the right place. 👉 If you enjoy this kind of content, hit like, subscribe, and comment — every bit of support helps keep this build moving forward. #1966VWBeetle #VWBeetle #AirCooledVW #VWRestoration #VWMetalWork #RustRepair #ClassicVW #ProjectBeetle #DrivewayBuild #PistonsAndPines
