Planted by the Waters I have chosen to walk in Your ways, my Lord, Even when this world calls me away. I won't follow every passing voice, I will trust the words You say. In the quiet of the morning, I open up Your Word, Your light is leading me. The more I know Your heart, my God, The more I find the strength I need. Your truth is the ground beneath my feet. When the strongest winds are blowing, I know I will not be shaken. I will be like a tree planted by the waters, Drawing life from You each day. My roots grow deeper in Your presence, Nothing can wash my faith away. When the seasons feel so empty, You are always by my side. As long as I remain within Your presence, Your life will be my guide. Sometimes I can't see what lies ahead, But I know You hold tomorrow in Your hands. The righteous never walk alone, You faithfully fulfill Your plans. Even if my tears fall on the ground, I will choose to wait on You. In Your perfect time, my faithful Father, Everything You promised will come true. My hope is not in what I see. My confidence is found in You. My life is built upon Your promise, And Your love will see me through. If the wind grows even stronger, My roots will reach down even deeper. If the night lasts a little longer, My testimony will shine brighter. I will be like a tree planted by the waters, Standing firm through every storm. My soul finds rest within Your presence, Your unfailing love keeps me warm. Everything I place into Your hands Is never lost in vain. You are leading every step I take, And in You my heart will bloom again. As long as there is breath within me, I will seek Your face each day. Day and night I'll treasure every word You've spoken, For in You I have found the Way.
