Molodechno is a city in the Minsk Region of Belarus on the Usha River, 73 km from Minsk. Population: 88,290 (as of January 1, 2025). First mentioned in written sources in 1388, Molodechno received city status in 1929. The name Molodechno likely derives from the Molodechanka River, which disappeared as a result of land reclamation. According to another version, the city's name comes from the words "molodets" (meaning "young man" or "younger man" or "younger"). Two world-famous names are associated with the city's history: Napoleon Bonaparte and Mikhail Kleofas Oginski (more details in the video). Today, Molodechno is home to mechanical engineering and mechanical engineering enterprises, wood processing industries, and manufacturers of building materials, furniture, perfumes, and ceramics.
