BMW E9 Design Work Continues - The Bumper Debate!

Retropower Uncut, Episode 293 Welcome back to Retropower Uncut! It’s a slightly unusual week at Retropower, with much of the team away – either enjoying a well-earned holiday or, in the case of Callum and the CAD Collective, heading to France with the Retropower Club for Le Mans Classic. Nice work if you can get it! With so many people absent, Nat has taken the helm in both the metalwork and assembly halls and, as you might expect, plenty of tangents ensue. If industrial dust extractor refurbishments and the finer details of classic Fiat subframes are your thing, you’re in for a treat. Elsewhere in the metal shop, there’s significant progress on both the Project Munich BMW E9 and the Project Altabani Fiat Dino, each of which has seen intensive activity over the past week. Over in assembly, Nat brings you up to speed with developments on the Portofino Jaguar and the Rooster Jensen Interceptor, as well as our ongoing battle – a genuine slog – to persuade Project Lucky Strike’s air-conditioning condenser to stop leaking. Finally, it’s up to the CAD loft, where Luke and George provide some pre-France updates before heading off to Le Mans Classic.
