We Found the Real-Life Town from Stand By Me! | Brownsville, Oregon Adventure

Step back in time with us as we explore Brownsville, Oregon — a small town with big history and even bigger heart. ❤️ We start our day driving across the iconic bridge into town, grab coffee at a cozy café, and wander through charming old shops and the classic hardware store that feels straight out of another era. Along the way, we discover movie magic — Brownsville is the real-life filming location for Stand By Me! We visit a few recognizable spots, chat with locals, and stop by the Linn County Museum, where a friendly volunteer shares some of the town’s fascinating history. We had lunch at Rick’s Place (because every great day deserves a great sandwich) and a quick stop at the historic Moyer House. To end the day, we head just outside of town to the Living Rock Studio Museum, an incredible hand-built stone home and museum created entirely from agates, gemstones, and local rock.
