In the fifth part of "Natural Incubation vs. Artificial Incubation," the two groups of chicks meet, as I have now brought the artificially incubated flock of chicks to mother hen Klara and her charges. 13 chicks are now running with their reliable mother hen and will probably be guided and protected by her for at least another three weeks. I hope this will allow the artificially incubated chicks to sufficiently learn the social customs of life in the hen group. I simply consider this necessary because artificially incubated roosters, in particular, tend to become problem animals, either because they are imprinted on humans or because they cannot assert themselves against other roosters with new owners (the pecking order has not been learned). Another focus of the episode is the topic of "chicken names" and why I think you should give your chickens names.
