Küken Hahn oder Henne mittels Russen-Test funktioniert?

If the chicks can raise their upper bodies like pull-ups, it's supposed to be a girl. If they hang down, it's a rooster. Can anyone please try this and give feedback?" (End of quote. Can be found under one of my videos). Pull-ups here mean a sit-up across the stomach. And chick = chick. With my Bielefelder Kennhuhn chicks, I had the great opportunity to test this method of sexing chicks. As shown in the last video, anyone can easily determine the sex of the chicks from this Kennsperber breed by looking at the color pattern of the day-old chicks. So we can see immediately whether this method is reliable or complete rubbish. As is hopefully clear in the video, I didn't feel particularly comfortable with this test. But I think it was extremely helpful for anyone wondering whether this method can actually determine whether a chick is a rooster or a hen. About the Bielefelder chickens: A dual-purpose chicken (eggs & meat) whose sex can be easily and reliably determined on the first day! That was precisely Gerd Roth's breeding goal in the 1970s when he bred the Bielefelder Kennhühner.
