WHAT to See & Do In NANAIMO, BC

We visited the city of Nanaimo, BC on Vancouver Island where we took in some of the best things to do there. Nanaimo is a port city and has many parks and hiking trails along its coast, but we found the best views overlooking the city at the top of Mt. Benson. To fuel our climb we made a detour to the Old Town Bakery in Ladysmith, just 20 minutes south of Nanaimo for the best cinnamon buns on Vancouver Island. They were so delicious and definitely worth the wait in line. Jay also got in the water to snorkel at Neck Point, and we went paddle boarding at the Cedar boat launch and beach with friends who recently moved to Nanaimo.
