My next stop on my Vancouver Island tour would bring me to its second largest city of Nanaimo, home to its namesake dessert bar that is ubiquitous all around Canada. After meeting up with a local friend for breakfast & conversation, I headed out for some sightseeing along the harbourfront, offering amazing views of landing seaplanes & the Canadian mainland on the horizon. After, I searched for Nanaimo's best Nanaimo Bar (which was difficult due to my tree nut allergy), and treated myself to what is likely Canada's greatest culinary contribution to the world.
