Exploring Texture: Creating Beautiful Patterns with the Rubbing Technique (Free Tutorial)

This week I discovered a great technique that I want to share with you in this tutorial! Bring back the magic as when you were a child!! Do you join me right away? What you need: some pencils or crayons, graphite, B pencils, colour pencils, Derwent Inktense, Derwent Graphitint and even soft pastels will work! normal A4-sized print paper items with texture, think of wall paper samples, templates, stencils, stamps, but also things you find in and around your home like placemats, boxes, candle holders, etc.. Step-by-step 1. Gather your materials and collect items that provide texture; 2. Put the item under your paper and just draw, you'll discover BIG magic; 3. See what happens if you add water to it; 3. Now what to do next? Go for a collage or... a special Easter assignment. First draw something, like eggs, then colour those with these patterns!
