Герой-земляк Волинець Сергій «на щиті» повернувся до рідного Скибина

The Zhashkiv community continues to lose its fellow countrymen who held out to the last, liberating Ukraine from the enemy. Among those who are forever in the Heavenly Order is Serhiy Volynets. Volynets Serhiy Mykolayovych (born 15.11.1979) - was born and lived in the village of Skybyn. After graduating from school, he completed his military service. After returning home, he created a family with Natalia Mykhailivna, with whom they gave life and upbringing to their daughter Angelica, and over time she gave her parents a granddaughter Eva. During his life, Serhiy Mykolayovych worked in various positions and at various enterprises: in the Zhashkiv branch of Ukrposhta, CJSC "Malynove", Skybyn Feed Mill, LLC "Rayagrobud". Since 2013, he began to engage in his own business, became a high-class master of construction works, who was respected in the village for his conscientious work, friendliness, responsibility and willingness to come to the rescue. During the invasion of the aggressor country, Serhiy Mykolayovych voluntarily stood up for the defense of Ukraine. Senior soldier Volynets served as the senior driver of the anti-aircraft missile platoon of the mechanized battalion of military unit A7015. He fought in hot and especially dangerous directions, defining the cause of protecting his family, fellow countrymen and all of Ukraine as a key task for himself. Serhiy Mykolayovych remained faithful to his military oath until the last. ▪️On 11/3/2025, the Hero-Countryman died in the Poltava Regional Clinical Hospital named after M.V. Sklifosofsky, where he was brought after a serious wound received as a result of enemy shelling in the area of ​​the village of Osinove, Kupyansky district, Kharkiv region. The terrible news shook the entire Zhashkiv community and wounded his family, with whom they met the warrior "on the shield" on November 14 and saw him off on his last journey. The pain of loss is shared with the relatives by the mayor, Ihor Tsybrovsky, the deputy corps, the executive committee, the executive committee staff, and departments of the Zhashkiv City Council. They say that Heroes do not die. But the truth is that they die. But they leave behind such a mark that cannot be erased. And the name of Serhiy Volynets will not be erased. We will remember those who give their lives for the future of independent Ukraine. Honor and glory to the Hero-Compatriot! Eternal memory…
