▪️War takes away the most valuable, ruthlessly tearing the best from the earth. It tears already devastated hearts into small fragments, burning souls. But it is not able to take away the Light of our brave people, which they carried into this world. Among such is our Hero-countryman Volodymyr Kovtun. ⚫️🇺🇦Kovtun Volodymyr Vasylevich (born 01/11/1984) - was born, grew up and lived in the city of Zhashkiv. After graduating from city school No. 5, he entered the Technical School of Meat and Dairy Industry of the Bila Tserkva State Agrarian University. He received the specialty of a technician-technologist. He began his work at the Dnipro-Agro enterprise, later - at a gas station. Volodymyr knew how to fill every page of his life with light, goodness, and positivity, rallying his family, friends, and godparents around him. He was brought up on his parents' wise instructions and books, which he read with enthusiasm. He also instilled a love of reading in his younger sister. He respected his parents, took care of his daughter, who was the meaning of life. It was love and care for his family that motivated Volodymyr to defend Ukraine, taking care of their peaceful future. 🛡In 2022, secretly from his parents, Volodymyr Kovtun went to Kyiv to join the ranks of the defenders of the state. He was accepted into military service on June 1 by the Khmelnytsky RTCC and SP. 🪖Senior soldier Kovtun served as a senior flamethrower of the 3rd flamethrower detachment of the radiation, chemical, biological protection platoon of military unit A4123. Since then, the entire period of service has been in the Donetsk direction. ⚫️🇺🇦It was there, in the area of ​​Chasovye Yar, Bakhmut district, while performing a combat mission on 03/26/2024, Volodymyr Kovtun went missing. Despite widespread rumors of death, the family still hoped to meet their living son, brother, father. But the recent announcement of the confirmation of his death took away all hopes and dreams. On July 1, 2026, the Hero-compatriot returned home "on the shield", where he was met with dignity and escorted to his last journey by the entire community. From now on, Volodymyr Kovtun will rest on the Alley of Heroes of the central city cemetery. 🙏The mayor of Zhashkiv, Igor Tsybrovsky, the deputy corps, the executive committee, the executive committee office and departments of the Zhashkiv city council share the pain of loss with the family and express sincere condolences to all loved ones. ▪️Eternal memory to the true Hero who died for the independence of our country.
