A VIAGEM PARA LAVAREDO FOI UM CAOS! 🥵🇮🇹 (Quase 18h a caminho...)
What a journey! I'm already in Lavaredo, but the trip here was a real odyssey of almost 18 hours... 🥵🏔️ I left Lisbon at 4:30 am, had a layover in Munich, flew to Venice, and still had to wait hours at the airport to catch a bus to the center and then another to Lavaredo. I only arrived at 10 pm! In the video, I explain the best (and most comfortable) way to get here, although this time I opted for the one that best fit my budget. But as soon as I arrived, the focus changed! I already participated in the morning run with the Scarpa team, we met to discuss the new models of trail running shoes for ultra-distance and technical terrain (like the new products I show behind the scenes in the video), and now it's time to prepare the gear. The 80km on Saturday will be a huge challenge. Besides coming off a complicated month with viruses and trips to the dentist, this race has a particularly difficult aspect: it's 80km with only two aid stations where I can receive external medical attention. This means I'll have to carry a lot of gear and manage my supplies perfectly. It's a physical and mental test, already thinking about the big goal that comes next: the CCC at the UTMB in August! Oh, and the world is really small! I was worried about my return to Venice on Sunday and ended up meeting a spectacular Portuguese guy, Pedro Cunha (who will be running the 50km), who saved me by giving me a ride back. The spirit of trail running and the Portuguese community is unique! 🇵🇹 Let's follow the behind-the-scenes action before the starting gun! 👇 ⏱️ Video Timestamps: [00:00] - The odyssey of the trip: 18 hours from Lisbon to Lavaredo [00:48] - Behind the scenes in Italy: Morning run and global meeting with Scarpa [01:47] - Technical analysis: Scarpa shoes for ultra-distance and technical terrain [04:11] - The strategic plan for the 80km after injuries and viruses [05:13] - Travel tip: What's the best way to travel to Lavaredo?
