BORNEO100 TRIATHLON 2026

Great triathlon event held at Sematan Palm Beach Resort, Sematan for the weekend of 20-21 June 2026. It features categories of: B100 - Swim 1.5km, Ride 80km, Run 18.5km Olympic Distance - Swim 1.5km, Ride 40km, Run 10KM Aquathlon - Swim 1.5km, run 10KM Sprint Tri - Swim 750m, Ride 20km, Run 5km Weather was superb at the start of the day, being cloudy and coupled with a nice cool breeze. Flag off was at 7:45am. Wonderful sight to behold as you see a bunch of colorful heads bobbing up and down at the sea, swimming the first leg of the Tri. My team did the Olympic Distance Relay, a non-age group category. We did quite ok and were placed at 5th spot. We managed to secure a trophy for 5th place and the finisher medal. It was a great experience and really appreciated the teamwork put in. A downpour started at around 11am plus and many were drenched from the sudden rain. But the sportsmanship that everyone portrayed was strong albeit that challenging torrential rain. Really amazing to see the elites doing their thing with such finesse. Overall, it was certainly a privilege to be participating in this. Very well executed and smooth running. Will join again next year. Perhaps an individual TRI event.
