1950's Vegetable Soup
No act of love, however small, is ever wasted. Easy cooking for busy families The recipe is below: 1 lb of ground hamburger or left over roast 1 chopped onion 1-1/2 tsp. granulated garlic OR 2 cloves crushed fresh 1 can diced tomatoes 1 can whole kernel corn 1 can green beans 1 can sliced carrots 1 can english peas All canned vegetable are added with the juice also in the can Or add the canned veggies you like 1/2 a can of large tomato juice - add more if needed 1 Tblsp. powdered beef broth Cook the meat and onion. Add the other ingredients and let simmer 15 or 20 minutes. Add....either elbow macaroni, potatoes, rice or some other type of pasta (just a few handfuls)...cover and let it cook until tender.
