Train Driver's POV Zwolle - Groningen ICM 2018 manueel fluiten

If you're language is not available in the translation-section, please select auto-translate. Hello all! I am proud to be a traindriver at the NS, the Dutch Railways, a wonderful job at a beautiful company, and I like to show that! Today, people around the world show how they do their job: from pilots to ambulance drivers and police officers. On my channel I'll give you a unique opportunity to look over my shoulder and see what it takes to be a traindriver. I can proudly say that I already have received many messages from viewers who, by watching my videos, have decided to become a traindriver as well. Some have already started their education! In addition, it is striking how many compliments come from countries worldwide who, after seeing my recordings, are full of praise for the quality of the Dutch rail system. That's always a great compliment for me and all my colleagues from NS and Prorail! (Prorail is the owner of the infrastructure (rails, signals, switches and alike)) As a traindriver you are responsible for the safe, timely, comfortable and energy-efficient operation of trains. And you have to do so on one of the world's busiest railway-networks. In my videos I show you how I do that every day, together with thousands of enthusiastic colleagues. Having 90% of our trains running on time is a great achievement! But where does that 10% delay come from? I show you how that happens in the playlist "This is how delays occur", so that there may be a bit more understanding when your train is too late. I was asked by a viewer whether it is safe to be working in the cabin with a camera. I always make sure that the camera is running before departure, and I only switch it off after arrival. Naturally. While driving, the camera isn't a limitation whatsoever and does not require any attention. And thanks to that camera you can check that I am fully focused on my task, so you should feel extra safe in my train. I was also asked if it is wise to show how a train works. Yes, you see the actions in my films. But I do not give any explanation, even though it is a regular question in the comments from viewers. All guides about operating different types of stock, instruction manuals and sign books can be found on the internet, and Train Simulator also teaches you how a train works. Nonetheless, I believe that without practical instruction on how to drive a train, you will not be able to move an inch. Furthermore, I obviously do not give any confidential information about the company and colleagues. If you, as a colleague, see or hear yourself in my videos and you object, please let me know. I really like it that you place so many nice comments. It strikes me that we always treat each other's messages with respect, the mood is always very friendly. It is also striking that you are always so positive about the Dutch Railways. I hope that my films contribute to this positive image of the NS and all my colleagues! Thanks! And let's not forget: THANK YOU DEAR TRAVELLERS! You make it possible to experience this dream job every day! I wish everyone a lot of pleasure viewing! Help us subtitle our videos so the whole world can enjoy our adventures! Subtitles in English would be nice, but in Dutch too, there is a translation function in the subtitles of Youtube!
