Moyen-Orient : le risque d'une crise économique mondiale

Since the start of the conflict in Iran, the Strait of Hormuz has been blocked. This maritime waterway sees a fifth of the world's oil and liquefied natural gas exports pass through. The situation worsened when Iran struck two of QatarEnergy's facilities. Its Ras Laffan plant announced on Monday that it had halted liquefied natural gas production. As a result, global oil and, especially, gas prices have skyrocketed. In France, the Minister of the Economy, Roland Lescure, sought to reassure the public, dismissing any "short-term supply risks." To what extent is the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz weakening the global economy? Who depends on the oil and gas that transit through the strait? What are the economic repercussions for France? We discuss this with Éric Albert, economics journalist at Le Monde, Nicolas Goldberg, energy expert at Colombus Consulting and Terra Nova, and Stéphanie Villers, economic advisor at PwC France. 🔴 To stay up-to-date on all political and parliamentary news, subscribe to our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/publicse... 👉 Our website: http://www.publicsenat.fr ▶️ Watch all our replays: https://www.publicsenat.fr/replay 📬 Subscribe to our newsletter: https://bit.ly/NewslettersPublicSenat 🚀 Follow us on social media: Facebook:   / publicsenat   X:   / publicsenat   Instagram:   / publicsenat   LinkedIn:   / 2996809   Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/publicsenat.fr Threads: https://www.threads.net/@publicsenat TikTok:   / publicsenat
