Présidentielle 2027 : les grandes manœuvres
With the municipal elections over, political parties are already preparing for the 2027 presidential election. Within the center-right, Édouard Philippe and Gabriel Attal are gearing up. On the left, after the alliances between La France Insoumise (LFI) and the Socialist Party (PS) in the second round of the municipal elections and several setbacks, Karim Bouamrane, mayor of Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, is calling for Olivier Faure's resignation to establish a "clear line" against LFI in preparation for 2027. For his part, François Hollande has stated his opposition to any alliance or primary on the left outside of LFI. Within Les Républicains, MP Laurent Wauquiez has advocated for a primary encompassing the center, including Sarah Knafo. Xavier Bertrand and Michel Barnier are clearly opposed to this. And several party leaders, such as Valérie Pécresse, also intend to seek "clarification" from Bruno Retailleau after his refusal to choose between Christian Estrosi (Horizons) and Eric Ciotti (UDR-RN) in Nice. The political bureaus of the Republicans (LR) and the Socialist Party (PS) promise to be stormy this Tuesday evening, with one central question: How to avoid a Bardella/Mélenchon showdown in April 2027? We'll discuss this with Bruno Cautrés, CNRS researcher at CEVIPOF, lecturer at Sciences Po, and co-author with Anne Muxel of "The Dead-End Vote: Electoral Chronicles 2024" (Grenoble University Press); Vincent Martigny, political scientist, professor of political science at the University of Côte d'Azur and École Polytechnique, and editor of the collective work "New Times: Putting an End to Nostalgia for the Trente Glorieuses" (Seuil); and Aurore Malval, senior reporter at Marianne. 🔴 To stay up-to-date on all political and parliamentary news, subscribe to our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/publicse... 👉 Our website: http://www.publicsenat.fr ▶️ Watch all our replays: https://www.publicsenat.fr/replay 📬 Subscribe to our newsletter: https://bit.ly/NewslettersPublicSenat 🚀 Follow us on social media: Facebook: / publicsenat X: / publicsenat Instagram: / publicsenat LinkedIn: / 2996809 Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/publicsenat.fr Threads: https://www.threads.net/@publicsenat TikTok: / publicsenat
