Yoga for Beginners| Beginners Series: Ep. 2- Strength, Balance & Flexibility| Yoga with Yana

Yoga for beginners episode 3:    • Yoga for Beginners| Beginners Series: Ep.3...   Yoga for beginners episode 1:    • Complete Beginners Yoga| Beginners Series ...   A warm hello to everyone 💕 Welcome back to the second episode of our Yoga for Beginners series! Each episode from the series is meant to build on the next one. These classes are designed to teach you the basics and foundation of yoga. You will learn different variations and ways to comfortably and safely get into each yoga pose. Today's class is designed to gently strengthen the body, work on balance and give you a great stretch! If you are a beginner, you may find some postures challenging, so I encourage you to go only as far as you can. If at any time throughout the practice, you feel the need to rest, please feel free to get into a restorative child's pose. Start in a table top position, place a rolled up blanket or towel underneath your ankles, and rest your ankles on top of the blanket or towel. Open up your knees mat distance apart and place a pillow or yoga bolster in between your knees, then lower your chest down and rest it on the pillow, bringing your forehead down and arms stretched out in front of you. This will help you calm the nervous system down, help you connect to your breath once again and recover. Once you're ready to get back into the practice, set your yoga props aside and join back in. I would also like to emphasize the importance of breathing properly in and out through the nose throughout the entire practice (unless instructed otherwise). Breathing is one of, if not the most, essential part of yoga and the more you stay connected to your breath, the more you will be able to get into each pose with ease and experience the full benefits of the pose. I invite you to focus on your breath and check in with yourself throughout the practice to see where you are at. Are you breathing consistently? Are you holding your breath? If you catch yourself holding your breath, simply take a moment to bring your attention back to the breath and try to stay connected with it throughout the remainder of your practice. Lastly, there is a new beginners episode every Wednesday (for the duration of the series), so stay tuned for new classes! It is a pleasure and an honor for me to guide you through this yoga class and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did filming it for you!
