Praise the Lord With Flutes
Praise The Lord With Flutes is a transcription by Robert L. Cathey. The original work by Sigfried Karg-Elert from which it is taken is titled Praise The Lord With Drums and Cymbals. The title is in reference to Psalm 150 which speaks of praising God with a variety of instruments. Composed in the style of Handel, it was written for organ and percussion. The piece's popularity is exemplified by the many versions that have been transcribed for a variety of ensembles. Jennifer Nelson performs this version on alto flute, flute and piccolo.
