【珍しい橋】鉄道会社が作った「鉄道が走らない橋」。日本一のつり橋。近鉄/道明寺【歴史】
The only five-span suspension bridge in Japan. Tamatebashi Bridge, located near Domyouji Station on the Kintetsu Minami Osaka Line, is a pedestrian suspension bridge built by a railway company to provide access to the first amusement park in western Japan. It is a five-span suspension bridge with four main towers, and even today it is the only five-span suspension bridge in Japan. This time, we will introduce Tamatebashi Bridge and the history of the area around Kintetsu Myoji Station. Nearby is the Suichoen Ruins, a Paleolithic ruins dating back 28,000 years, and it is clear that the area flourished thanks to the precious stone, sanukite, that can be found in the area. In addition, this area is located in the Ikoma Mountains, which lie between Nara and Osaka, and the Yamato River makes this an important place for traveling between Nara and Osaka without crossing the mountains. As a result, it has been a key location since ancient times. Nearby is the World Heritage Site, the Furuichi Kofun Group, and this area was the domain of the Haji clan, famous for making haniwa clay figures. The name of the place and station, Haji-no-Sato Station, next to Domyoji Station, is derived from the Haji clan. During the Kofun period, the Haji clan was favored by Emperor Suinin and became a powerful clan entrusted with important funeral ceremonies, including clay figurines. They built Haji Shrine. In the Asuka period, Buddhism was introduced to Japan, and at the request of Prince Shotoku, Haji Temple was built. As time passed, in the Heian period, the area became associated with Sugawara no Michizane, a descendant of the Haji clan, and Haji Temple changed its name from Sugawara no Michizane's childhood name, "Domyo," to "Domyo-ji." Hashi Shrine also became a "Tenmangu" shrine associated with Sugawara no Michizane, and became "Domyo-ji Tenmangu." In the early Edo period, the area was also the site of the Battle of Domyo-ji between Toyotomi and Tokugawa. Kuwabara, kuwabara.
