Alerta climático: chuvas pontuais em SP e MG podem paralisar a colheita de café.
The global coffee market is facing a scenario of strong production tension, pressured by delays in the Brazilian harvest due to atypical rains. New projections from the consulting firm Datagro and the USDA indicate a possible surplus for the 2026/27 crop after years of deficit, contrasting with the current logistical constraints. Given this volatility, the physical market in the Cerrado Mineiro and Southern Minas Gerais regions already reflects the uncertainties. Independent investment agent João Santaella Neto comments that this scenario is already fueling a tug-of-war between record harvest forecasts and immediate climatic challenges.
